Welcome to Glenhaven Public School P&C Association
We are a group of involved parents who are committed to ensuring that the best possible learning environment is created for all of the children at Glenhaven Public School.
As a P&C Association, we have been established to:
- Promote the interest of the school by bringing parents, citizens, students and teaching staff into close co-operation
- Assist in providing facilities and equipment for the school and promoting the recreation and welfare of the students at the school
We are proud to be part of, and represent, such a strong and supportive school community. Through our welcoming approach and transparent communication, we strive to maintain this valued sense of community amongst our children, parents, staff and the greater Glenhaven community.
We work collaboratively with, and are generously supported by, our parent body, the Principal and staff of our school to help make Glenhaven Public School the only place to be!
Your elected P&C representatives for 2016 are:
President: Nicole Balzan
Vice President: Kim Old
Treasurer: Richard Hutchinson
Secretary: Nicole Cherrie
Our P&C also operates three sub- committees being:
- Our Uniform Shop
- Our Canteen
These sub-committees report back to the P&C as part of the general meeting held each month.
Our P&C meetings provide a forum for open discussion between the parents of our school community and our teaching staff, represented by our Principal, Mrs. Kerry Maxwell. At these meetings we discuss the ways in which the P&C can support the activities of our school, our priorities for fundraising, our progress and ultimately how these funds will be reinvested to enrich the learning environment for our children.
The P&C meeting is the only place to be on the second Tuesday of every month! Any member of our school community is welcome to join us.
When: 2 nd Tuesday of every month (excluding school holidays)
Where: Staff room, Glenhaven Public School
As stated in the Official Handbook of Federation of Parents and Citizens Associations of NSW; Fact Sheet 1: What is a P&C Association?
